Terms and Conditions

Bookings: Places for courses/camps are limited to 10 people and are on a ‘First come, first served’ basis.

Full payment: Is required 14 days prior to your course date.

Change of dates: Any change of date to your booking is subject to availability.

Transfer of Position: If you need someone to take over your position on the course, that’s fine with us, however the payment conditions still apply.

Please let us know as soon as possible so we can adjust our records.

Cancellations: If life gets in the way and you need to cancel your booking, please get in touch with us as soon as you can. There will be a $100 penalty incurred to cover some of our expenses and the balance of your money will be transferred into your nominated bank account.

Miner’s Right: A Miner’s Right is essential for prospecting in WA and you must have one to attend our course. The cost is $25 and is valid for life.

You can apply for a Miner’s Right in person at any of the Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety (DMIRS) offices.

You can also apply for a Miner’s Right via post. Go to http://www.dmp.wa.gov.au/Documents/Minerals/Miners_Rights.pdf and download the ‘Miner’s Right – Information pamphlet’.
This will give you the information and application form you will need.
Why do you need one? – It’s the law. You cannot legally prospect in WA without one.

Medical: If you are on medication, please ensure you have adequate supplies. There is a GP, pharmacist and hospital in Leonora.
If there are any physical and/or mental conditions that you think we should know about, please inform us on the booking form. This information is confidential and will be destroyed once you have completed the course.

Weather: We reserve the right to alter or cancel the Field Training Day (Day Three), if due to weather events it is unsafe or unwise to head bush.

Gold: No guarantees are given that you will find gold during or after our training course. It’s about learning the skills required to become a modern day prospector and one thing you will learn is – There’s no guarantees when it comes to gold!

Safety: Your safety is our main concern, however no responsibility will be accepted for accidents, illness or misadventure or loss of goods or possessions whilst attending our training course.
