Be part of the crew

Aussie Gold Rush Camps are all about bringing a group of like-minded people together to experience and be involved in a professional prospecting team. It’s about companionship, enjoying a cuppa together and camp fire yarns at night. Aussie Gold Rush Camps gives you the opportunity to get involved in a safe working environment and have an experience like no other!

Your safety is our priority and we want the camp to be a fun, friendly environment, however, we will be working with large earthmoving equipment so there will be safety rules regarding the separation of people and machinery. There needs to be some ground rules and most of these we will go through on-site.

The Nitty Gritty!

Gold: No guarantees are given that you will find gold during the camp – there’s no guarantees when it comes to gold! However, what you find outside the work site is yours to keep and what you find on the work site is ours to keep!

Safety: Your safety is our main concern, however, no responsibility will be accepted for accidents, illness or misadventure or loss of goods or possessions whilst attending the camp.

Alcohol: Enjoy a drink by the fire? So do we! Please be sensible…. fail the attitude test and you’re gone.

Courtesy: Good behavior is expected at all times…fail the attitude test and you’re gone.

Access: Camp locations will be via good gravel roads and good well formed tracks.

Detector Hire: We will have a limited number of detectors for hire. If you need to hire a detector from us, please advise before your camp date (see heading ‘More…’ on our website for selection and hire rates).

Weather: We can’t control the weather and reserve the right to postpone or cancel the camp if we have any concerns. Your safety is our first priority.

Conclusion of camp: There is no detecting or staying on site once the camp has concluded. HOWEVER as part of our ‘Aussie Gold Rush’ camps, you will get access to active mining leases around Leonora for two months to prospect and camp. This opportunity is only for people who have attended the camp and you will need to be an APLA member. This is a great way to keep your Aussie Gold Rush adventure on the boil.
